Safe Families Project

Safer Families

Our Club is collaborating with a range of community partners to produce videos and other resources about coercive control and family abuse along with information and links to Tassie services that provide a wide range of support for families in that situation. The videos and resources will be made available free of charge on this website.

This first video is an address by renowned author and journalist Jess Hill, prize winning author of See what you made me do: Power, control and domestic abuse. This is a video of an address given by Jess at an International Women’s Day celebration on March 6, 2024 at the Brighton Sports Pavilion, Tasmania. This free community event was sponsored by Brighton Council and Communities for Children South-East Tasmania and was a project organised by many community and sector partners who will feature in future videos.
